Based on feedback from parents, we heard a strong need for support around budgeting, saving, and managing finances. In response, we are partnering with Access Housing Education & Coaching Center (HECC) to offer free Budget Coaching and Financial Education workshops.
Families can:
- Learn practical strategies to manage money and reduce debt
- Build skills to improve credit and start saving
- Connect with ongoing financial coaching support
To make this accessible, we are offering:
- Two location options (Thompson on 4/30/26 or Plainfield on 5/12/26)
- Free dinner
- Free on-site childcare (ages 2+)
Families can choose the date and location that works best for them.

Each one-hour Zoom session will be facilitated by a child care expert from 211 Child Care and will focus on practical strategies parents can use at home.

- Toilet Learning – April 21, 2026
- Talking About Screen Time – May 14, 2026
- Social Emotional Learning – June 17, 2026
All sessions are held from 6:00–7:00 p.m.
Families may register for one, two, or all three sessions.
